For the past seven years, Joyce Austin, owner of New Zealand Boutique Wines, has been bringing to Ireland a collection of hand-crafted wines from New Zealand’s most exciting boutique wine growers. Joyce is a native of Dublin, who moved to Auckland seventeen years ago; from where she explores every nook and cranny of New Zealand’s more than 600 vineyards to bring together a collection of intriguing wines.

With nearly 60 wines from eight estates, the Irish wine enthusiast can savour our more hidden jewels from the North and South Islands of New Zealand – exceptional producers from four distinct regions: Hawkes Bay, Martinborough, Waipara and Nelson. No mass-produced brands; rather, a collection of estates with a common bond: small, meticulously managed vineyards with a low-yield philosophy and made by passionate owners working to place their individual stamp on each wine.

With every corner you turn in New Zealand’s dramatic landscape, a more stunning view appears. Extreme differences abound in scenery, climate and soil types. These wines offer a taste of that exotic difference.

A luscious mix of Rieslings; crisp, richly fruited Rosés; Sauvignon Blancs with weight and elegance; Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Gewürtztraminer in the richer style of Alsace; Richly weighted Viognier; Chardonnays with complexity yet restraint; nine Pinot Noirs with their own special hallmark; and, more unusually for New Zealand, an offering of Syrah and Pinotage.
